Hurricane Dorian has rocked the East Coast this week with devastating damage caused to our neighbours in the Bahamas, the state of South Carolina and the outskirts of Virginia.

The damage will be in the billions

Hundreds of homes and businesses have been effected by this category 5 hurricane with an estimated $1.5 to $3 billion total damage to all areas touched by Dorian.

One of our dear owners, Steve, and his family were directly effected by Hurricane Dorian, when visiting Florida. "Within two days of arriving for our family vacation we were ordered a mandatory evacuation. It was a scary time. We heard what this hurricane was capable of and we did not want to take any chances."

Thankfully no-one was injured or hurt and despite the worrying time, everything turned out all right for the family and their friends.

"We hope that anyone affected is able to get aid and is not financially hurt by this hurricane. Our prayers are with all the families affected by this." says Steve.

The team at SERVPRO of Wood, Ritchie & Pleasants counties reiterate Steve's words. Our prayers are with everyone effected, and we are happy that Steve and his family are safe.
